Our most recent production of The Nutcracker was held on December 9, 10 and 11, 2006, at the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts at Clemson University. Eighty-four cast members and dozens of volunteers pulled together through three months of rehearsals and one very busy weekend to put on yet another delightful production. For the third year in a row, our Tri-ARTs performance, provided free of charge to area school children, was a sell-out!
We were once again fortunate to have high-caliber professional ballet dancers anchor our cast: Pavel Gurevich, a soloist with the Boston Ballet, as the Cavalier; and Vilijia Putriute, a principal dancer with Festival Ballet Providence, as the Snow Queen. The inclusion of these renowned performers afforded our young dancers a rare opportunity to share the stage with professional artists.
