Foothills Conservatory for the Performing Arts (FCPA) is a volunteer-based, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Seneca, SC. We exist for the purpose of promoting quality performing arts experiences in the Tri-County community (Pickens, Oconee and Anderson) of Upstate South Carolina.

We are a small organization, managed directly by our board of directors and supported entirely by member dues, program admission fees, grants, and the generous contributions of our sponsors and volunteers.

A Focus on "Performing"

In terms of our structure and approach to the arts, FCPA is unique in the area. We focus on giving students exposure to real-world performing arts experiences. Our summer workshop culminates in a live, public performance, and the staging of The Nutcracker is managed as if it were a professional production. This, partnered with Foothills Dance Conservatory’s focus on classical training methods and formal dance styles, is intended to prepare students to pursue careers in the performing arts and to provide the community with high-quality, aesthetic performing arts experiences.
